Do You Need An Internet Marketing Consultant?
When you think about internet marketing do you feel overwhelmed or do you wonder what in the world it is?
If you answered yes you aren’t alone. Most people know they should have some sort of presence on the internet for their business and that is about all they know. Typically they go out and hire a designer to build them a website. Often times the website designer or developer will build a beautiful looking site but the search engines don’t know where the site is. Once the website is built the next issue is actually getting people (aka, traffic) to come to the site.
Does Your Site Have Targeted Traffic?
By that I mean are your target customers coming to your site on a regular basis and looking for what you have? Are you actually tracking your traffic with google analytics? The more you know about your traffic and where it is coming from the better you can market to your target customer. Which leads to my next point.
How do you get more unique visitors to your website?
Well you either get traffic organically or you pay for it. Both ways work. Don’t ever try buying traffic (ppc) on google unless you know what you are doing. Make sure you hire an expert or go through the 40 plus training hours google has for adwords. It is free…just tedious! And remember Google isn’t the only game in town. There is plenty of targeted traffic out there for sale if you know where to find it. A lot of people try that and a lot of people lose money with PPC, or worse yet they never track their results so they have no idea what is happening with their PPC investment. Better yet, there is plenty of targeted free traffic if you know how to work for it.
Once traffic comes then what?
Do you “capture” your client’s info. for list building? How long did your visitors stay on your site? or did you scare them right off with a boring website? Maybe your landing page is oh so typical in that it has way too much information and overwhelms your visitor. Maybe you have all sorts of great info. on your site but it is buried way too deep and no one can be bothered to find it.
Can you convert a visitor into a buyer?
Of course you can. Did you know that your “buy” button can up your conversions by 30% if it is in the right color. What about your web copy? A couple tweaks in mediocre copywriting can up your conversions by 100% if done correctly. What about the colors you use on your site? I won’t go into too much detail here but there is hard data substantiating small tweaks that lead to huge sale conversions.
In a nutshell the internet is frustrating, overwhelming and full of possibility
Sounds like a contradictory place….well it can be if you don’t know how to leverage it. Stop the insanity…
